About

Intents and Purposes is Lorin Brown’s journey in motion. Born in New Jersey and raised in Wayne, PA, Lorin grew up immersed in creativity—art, culture, technology, and the way design connects people. That path led him to CalArts, where he deepened his exploration in design and later returned as a teacher.

Working with industry giants like UARM, 2K, Urban Outfitters, Stüssy, AYR, and Nike, Lorin honed his ability to transform ideas into tangible designs—creating work that feels real, that resonates. Having been embedded in the streetwear space for years—writing for streetwear blogs early on and witnessing the culture’s evolution—he has always sought for creating a balance between art and real life.

His recent collaboration with LA-based Quiet Life brought him back to his roots, reigniting the passion that started it all. Intents and Purposes is the manifestation of that path, a way to close the loop. Every piece is a moment, an experience you can hold. The brand exists in the space between style and substance, where design becomes a story—an exploration of the past, present, and future.

Intents and Purposes is made for those who see fashion as more than just clothing but who want to wear something real—a connection, a statement, a piece of the story we’re all living.
